Togetherness
Togetherness, “Tillsammans”, is at the heart of the IKEA culture. We are strong when we trust each other, pull in the same direction and have fun working together.
Caring for people and planet
We want to be a force for positive change both locally and globally. We have the possibility and the resources to make a significant and lasting impact, today and for future generations.
Cost-consciousness
As many people as possible should be able to afford a beautiful and functional home. We constantly challenge ourselves and others to make more from less without compromising on quality, function, sustainability or form.
Simplicity
Simplicity is about being ourselves and staying close to reality. Simplicity is also about how we approach our daily task where bureaucracy is our biggest enemy. We are practical people with a common sense approach when solving problems.
Renew and improve
Whatever we are doing today, we can do a bit better tomorrow. We constantly look for new and better ways forward. It is finding solutions to the impossible challenges that has made us successful.
Different with a meaning
Different with a meaning is about having the courage to question existing solutions, think in unconventional ways, experiment and dare to make “entrepreneurial” mistakes.
Give and take responsibility
We believe in empowering people and in the power of the individual who wants to grow. Both giving and taking responsibility are ways to grow and develop and a source of energy and joy for those who dare. It is ultimately about trusting each other, being positive and forward-looking.
Lead by example
We see leadership as an action, not a position. We are at our best when we can be ourselves and at the same time live the IKEA values. Therefore we first recruit on values, then on competence and diversity. We can lead by taking the initiative and being a great inspiration for others.
We welcome candidates compatible with IKEA culture.
IKEA Turkey’s employees are humble, willing to accept responsibility, and highly-motivated people who believe in team work. Having fun at work is crucial for us. That is why even though there are countless reasons for working at IKEA Turkey, when asked why they are here, our employees universally respond: “The work environment is really enjoyable!”
We leave our ego behind.
We do not need extravagant titles or exclusive rooms. We expect our employees to leave their egos behind. This ensures faster, more effective and more enjoyable work as a team.
We provide career opportunities to enable transformation.
Where available, we create different career opportunities for the employees we consider as having potential in terms of IKEA’s retail operations.
IKEA Turkey is a huge family.
The people you work with are also your friends. Whenever you feel the need to share something, you can find thousands just like you, for this is, among other things, a huge family.
