Long Term Benefits
"I used to be a boatbuilder and my eyes are trained at evaluating curves. SKOGSBO is all about curves, and if you look at the chair from the side, the curve of the backrest is in harmony with the one of the outer back leg. For this chair, I found inspiration in a classic bent wood chair popular already in the 19th century. Designing it was a dream where I could share my passion for wood and bending wood – a technique that can only be done by the hands of skilled artisans."
The light and airy SKOGSBO bentwood chair is inspired by classic café chairs from the 19th century. The bentwood technique is old and involves softening the wood with steam so it becomes flexible and can be bent into soft curves. The result is craftsmanship and design in perfect harmony. With its comfort and timeless design in beautiful beechwood, it’s a chair that will last for coffee breaks and long dinners for many years to come.
