IKEA TÜRKİYE MOBILE APPLICATION PERMISSIONS PRIVACY POLICY
As IKEA Türkiye (“IKEA”, the “Company” or “We”), we process certain personal data and request certain permissions relating to your device in order to provide you with better services, enhance your user experience, and ensure the effective functioning of the features of our mobile application (“Mobile Application”) during your use of the Mobile Application.
Your personal data obtained during your use of our Mobile Application is processed in accordance with applicable legislation, primarily the Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”).
This Policy is intended to inform you about the application permissions requested within the scope of the Mobile Application and the purposes for which such permissions are used.
Method and Legal Basis for the Collection of Personal Data
Your personal data is collected electronically and automatically during your use of the Mobile Application within the scope of the relevant application permissions.
In this context, your personal data may be processed on the following legal grounds:
• where it is directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract;
• protection of IKEA’s legitimate interests;
• fulfilment of legal obligations;
• where required, obtaining your explicit consent.
Transfer of Your Personal Data
Your personal data obtained within the scope of the IKEA Türkiye Application may be shared, in accordance with the provisions of applicable legislation, with our service providers, business partners, and authorized public institutions and organizations for the purposes of providing application services, carrying out technical support processes, evaluating customer requests, and fulfilling legal obligations.
Which Permissions Do We Use and For What Purposes?
The following application permissions are requested to enable the functions available within the IKEA Türkiye Application to operate.
iOS
Notifications: This permission is required to send notifications to your device regarding order processes, campaigns, application updates, and your account.
Camera: This permission is required to enable product searches by barcode and to use the augmented reality (3D product placement) feature.
Photos: This permission is required to upload photos during product cancellation and return processes, customer support requests, and “Contact Us” processes.
Android
Notifications: This permission is required to send notifications to your device regarding order processes, campaigns, application updates, and your account.
Camera: This permission is required to enable product searches by barcode.
Photos / Media: This permission is required to upload photos during product cancellation and return processes, customer support requests, and “Contact Us” processes.
Management of Permissions
The permissions requested by the Mobile Application are used solely for the purposes of enabling the functions specified above. You may change, revoke, or re-enable these permissions at any time through the settings menu of your device.
However, if certain permissions are revoked, some features of the IKEA Türkiye Application may not function as intended, or you may be unable to benefit from the relevant services.
Your Rights as a Data Subject
Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the following rights:
• to learn whether your personal data has been processed;
• to request information regarding the processing of your personal data, if it has been processed;
• to learn the purpose of processing and whether your personal data is used in accordance with such purpose;
• to learn the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred domestically or abroad;
• to request the correction of your personal data if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately;
• to request the deletion or destruction of your personal data within the scope of the KVKK;
• to request that third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred be notified of any correction, deletion, or destruction carried out;
• to object to any result arising against you as a result of the analysis of your processed data exclusively through automated systems;
• to request compensation for damages incurred due to the unlawful processing of your personal data.
You may submit your requests concerning these rights to our Company through the methods specified in IKEA Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection and Processing Policy currently in force.
