"The over-the-door hanging organiser is perfect for my scarves and sandals, it creates extra storage space, and encourages me to wear and enjoy them more often."

1. Rethink the wardrobe.

For a room that encourages relaxation, practical organisation can be the key to calm. Give your wardrobe an easy update with hanging storage to help you re-organise your clothes and find a place for everything. Interior stylist Lucy Tweed also added storage boxes in the top of Abeer’s wardrobe for out-of-season clothes and shoe boxes at the bottom.

2. Create a calm corner.

Lucy created a relaxing nook to give Abeer another spot where she can unwind in her bedroom. The REMSTA armchair has the perfect slim-line design for this compact corner, while its richly-coloured velvet cover has a touch of luxury and warmth that Abeer will want to relax into.

"Our bedroom needs to be different from the rest of the house. It should be a sanctuary, somewhere we come in and instantly feel more peaceful."

3. Update your bedding.

New bedlinen helps to create a fresh, energising space. "One day I’d like a bigger bedroom," says Abeer. "For now, its size means new bedding makes a big change as the bed takes up most of the room." Bright cushions reflect Abeer’s love of colour in the rest of her home, but here they’re balanced with neutrals for a calmer feel.
