As a city built on an island (Stadsholmen), Stockholm has a very different relationship with water. Ferries carry people from home to work. Fishermen catch trout in the centre of the city.

On beautiful summer days, it is common to see people swimming in the sparkling clean waters. During the cold winter, you can see pedestrians walking on ice from island to island as a shortcut.

As if all this water wasn't enough, Stockholm is also the starting point of the fascinating Stockholm archipelago. A total of 24,000 islands make up the east coast of Sweden. This is Sweden. Our home.

Designer Thoughts

"When I created the mouthblown and handmade tealight holder/vase in the STOCKHOLM 2017 collection, I had food and table settings in mind. The tealight lantern gives the candle some height without obscuring the person in front of you. And when you turn the tealight lantern upside down, you get a perfect vase for small floral arrangements. Maybe a rose from the garden or small flowers from a meadow? The blue colour is inspired by the sea - I love the water’s movement when light meets glass."
