The most important objective of the IKEA Human Resources is to secure continuous improvement with a team of high performance that is able to make an added value contribution to the company.Following the employees' preparation of their individual work and improvement plans together with their directors and in line with the purposes of the company, performance interviews are held twice a year and the performance displayed by an employee, her/his improvement needs and potential for career are evaluated.While the performance evaluation is made on the basis of the results obtained, the proficiency evaluation is made on the basis of the capabilities required for the positions.For IKEA, the walk of career is not only to go to the next position up, but also to assume more powers and responsibilities at the same position in line with the increasing performance. For this reason, the continuity of the personal improvement is one of the constantly aimed criteria. The training programs that are planned on yearly basis have also the characteristic of supporting this objective.
